Vibe Coding Still Needs a Place to Keep the Code

GitHub becomes easier to approach when there is a concrete project to look at.

The cloud-storage comparison is a useful beginning: a repository gives the code somewhere to live. Its change history adds another layer. Instead of seeing only the latest folder, you can inspect how the project reached its current state.

For an AI-built project, start with the README and a small recent change. Compare what changed with what was requested. Which files were touched? Does the explanation fit the actual edit?

Keep a checkpoint before the next experiment. That makes it easier to understand a mistake without trying to reconstruct an earlier version from memory.

I like this as a first step because it turns “the AI built something” into a result that can be examined. Learning every Git command can wait. Knowing where the code lives and how to see a change is already useful.
