Let AI Edit the Words Without Losing the Meaning
When a sentence sounds more polished, I still want to know whether its meaning survived.
A revision can introduce a stronger promise, remove a condition, or make uncertainty sound like certainty. The words may flow better while the message quietly changes.
My interest in AI-assisted editing starts with that comparison. Keep the original beside the revision. Read the places where names, numbers, obligations, and qualifications appear. Look for anything added that the source never supported.
Tone matters too. A warmer paragraph should still sound like something the person sending it means. A shorter version should retain the detail the reader needs.
For a small experiment, choose a paragraph you understand well and compare two versions sentence by sentence. Decide which changes improve the expression and which alter the substance.
I want the final wording to earn its place because it communicates the intended meaning more clearly. Smoothness alone is not the test.
