A Better Prompt Starts With a Better Brief
There is no magic phrase hiding inside this Short. The idea is a perspective shift: treat the request as a brief for someone who needs enough context to help.
I would start by naming the job, who the result is for, and what a useful answer would look like. If a word such as “better” or “creative” is doing too much work, add an example.
Then respond to the draft you actually receive. “Make it more useful” leaves a lot open. “Show the first action a beginner should take” gives the next attempt a direction.
A useful test is to reread the prompt as if I knew nothing about the project. Which part would I have to guess?
That question turns prompt writing into a practical communication exercise. The model can still get things wrong, but the brief becomes something I can improve deliberately.
